Investment and Downstream Minister/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Head Rosan Roeslani stated that Huayou Indonesia is continuing the integrated electric vehicle (EV) battery supply chain ecosystem investment project abandoned by LG Energy Solution. Rosan said that the subsidiary of Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd, is also exploring potential investments in the country.

Russian state-owned enterprise (SOE) State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom plans to invest in Indonesia's nuclear industry by building a nuclear power plant (NPP) in Southeast Sulawesi Province. Rosatom is the largest company in the world which is engaged as a vendor in the nuclear industry, especially NPPs.

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Southeast Sulawesi Province reported that the Southeast Sulawesi economy experienced 5.4 percent cumulative annuual growth (c-to-c) in 2024, up from 5.35 percent c-to-c in 2023. BPS Southeast Sulawesi Acting Head Surianti Toar explained that, in terms of production, the industrial manufacturing business field recorded the highest cumulative annual growth at 12.98 percent.
